I research the extension of LLMs to other modalities with a current focus on speech 🎙️ I am supervised by André Martins at the Instituto Superior Técnico and am funded by the NextGenAI initiative from the Centre For Responsible AI.

I spent over two years as a Deep Learning Engineer at Translated where I worked on speech synthesis and a host of other solutions leveraging machine learning and stats.

I worked at FFT Education Datalab where we provided charities and government with a robust evidence base for policy decisions using causal inference methods from economics.

I spent one year at Public Health England building data pipelines and automating statistical analysis for government publications on mental health services and dementia.

In a previous life, I studied Biological Sciences at the University of Oxford and, in a more recent one, Data Science at the University of Rome Sapienza.
